In everything we do, we believe in overcoming our fears and living our dreams.
The way we conquer those fears is to teach self-development and goal setting.
We just happen to use the Martial Arts as our vehicle to teach these skills.
What fears are holding you back?
Fear is a dream killer.
Fear kills hope. Fear kills effort. Fear kills self-esteem.
How you live matters!
You have greatness inside of you.
Live up to your full potential.
Are you ready to live your dreams?
Join our family!
I have 3 children who live and breathe Fearless Family Martial Arts. My oldest son started attending classes in January 2008. He loved the environment and because of his positive experiences, my daughter decided to leave the sport she was excelling in and make the move to Tae Kwon Do. The deciding factor for her was that they teach through positive reinforcement and make the classes fun. This was a different and new experience for her. My youngest started attending summer camp through FMA and then decided to switch over to Tae Kwon Do a couple of years ago. My 3 kids are in the after school program where they finish homework, take class, hang out with friends and enjoy their "second family". There are so many new and exciting things for the kids to do, as Fearless Family Martial Arts teaches traditional and extreme martial arts as well as weapons, kick boxing and a variety of other classes. Bottom line is that the kids never get bored. Our experience is just the opposite actually, we can't get our kids out of the dojo! I have watched 2 of my kids receive their first degree black belt and my youngest just earned his brown belt. My pride is a given, but the pride they have in themselves and each other is really the clincher. What better life lesson is there? Work hard and you WILL achieve. They see it every day and they live it. Many many thanks to the Nyce family and all of the instructors at Fearless Family Martial Arts!
Fearless Family Martial Arts in Gainesville is truly a wonderful and positive experience for children/teens/adults to learn martial arts. They focus on teaching using positive feedback and encouraging words. Students are able to learn and grow in a loving environment with the traditional TKD emphasis of respect, honor and discipline. The instructors and owners are motivating and passionate about what they do. There are a variety of programs to choose from (traditional forms, weapons, musical forms, sparring, Dragons, Hyper, competition team, homeschool, leadership, etc). They even offer after-school care and summer camps to assist the working parent. "Ms Lisa" is amazing with the children and provides a loving "home" environment to them. I know it must be good when I pick up my children in the evening and they don't want to leave! She offers snacks, help with homework, games, arts and crafts and even a quiet place to lie down and read or relax. The children are able to take their scheduled TKD class, get their homework done and have some playtime with their friends before we arrive to pick them up! I no longer have to worry about being stuck in traffic and not being able to get my son/daughter to class. The children support each other while emulating the positive feedback taught by the Nyce family. The more experienced and seasoned FMA children have become role models for the newcomers and it is beautiful to watch. We have been attending Fearless Family Martial Arts for three years and have a daughter that is a black belt and a son that is a gold dragon belt and we look forward to many more years watching our children flourish in this environment! A great place - check it out!
My daughter has been going to Fearless Family Martial Arts for many years. There are not enough words to say how wonderful Fearless is!! This weekend she will be graduating with her Black Belt. She has worked very hard for it, but what makes it more special is the feeling that behind her success she has had the constant support and encouragement of her instructors, staff and team mates (yes, martial arts is a team sport at Fearless!!). She has not only progressed through the belts, but she has learned to achieve anything she sets her mind to. She is confident, responsible, and motivated...all traits that the program has helped solidify! Fearless Family Martial Arts offers many programs to keep the students looking for the next skill to learn. From belt programs, to weapons, competition team, leadership and Hyper, Fearless makes sure that martial arts is a way of life. They are disciplined, expect respect and dedication from the students, and the biggest cheering squad you will get from instructors who are passionate about seeing achievement. They also offer an after-school program, and Mrs. Nyce provides a home environment while the kids are there (I could go on for about 20 pages on how she has impacted "her girl", but I'll save it for the scrapbook). As a working parent, knowing my child is able to take her classes while I'm still at work or fighting traffic makes a world of difference to our family life.
We have been blessed and fortunated to have found Fearless Family Martial Arts and the Nyce family, and our daughter's life has been impacted in ways that I could only have dreamed of!
Judges, my name is Robert Gonzalez, for my Black Belt I am required to give a speech on What The Martial Arts Have Done For Me. The Martial Arts have emphasized three important concepts for me: Setting the Example, Love of Family, and Never Quitting. The Martial Arts have helped me to set a good example for others and to be a better father. This training has allowed me to get in the trenches, on the mat, side by side, not only with my children but also with other students and to experience this journey first hand. I feel what they feel. To me, this is leadership by example.
The Martial Arts have helped me to better appreciate my love of family. I could not have made it this far in this program without the support, encouragement, and love, of my wife and my children. I have had the rare joy of sharing in something not many families have the pleasure and the privilege of doing together.
The Martial Arts have helped me to know the value of never quitting on a goal, no matter how hard it is or how long it takes to reach it. It reminds me nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. Reaching Black Belt is a long slow struggle. It takes dedication to keep on going.
One thing remains true: “A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.” This has been a priceless lesson to teach and to have shared with my family and my children. This is one of the greatest moments of my life.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my family and all my instructors. It has been a joy and an honor to share this experience with all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and thank you most sincerely.
I used to be an honor roll student, but now I am a proud father and husband, Sir!
